The Swift Current Indians dropped their second straight game in a 6-5 loss to the host Medicine Hat Mavericks on Monday.
Bryan Arthur singled in former Indian Collin Hetzler with one out in the bottom of the ninth for the winning run.
Indians starter Alex Tufts lasted only three innings, allowing six hits and four earned runs. Larsen Kohler suffered the loss with six hits and one earned run over five and a third innings.
Catcher Will Thorp led the offense with two hits, two runs scored, and two runs batted in, including a two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning.
The loss dropped the Indians to 3-3, while Medicine Hat improved to 6-2 in the Western Major Baseball League.
The Indians will be back at home Tuesday and Wednesday to host the Edmonton Prospects (1-6).
