AMHERST - A fun summer of Amherst Tier 2 slo-pitch action came to an end last night with I.M.P. sealing the deal three games to zero in their best-of-five championship series against the double A's.
I.M.P. refused to show any mercy.
Their first game was won by a score of 15-9, then they won 14-2 and last night they won by a score of 29-7.
I.M.P. racked up some big-time numbers in the last game of the season.
Troy Miller knocked out two home runs, a double and a single.
Brian Hebert hit a home run, a triple, a double and two singles.
Mike Mills hit five doubles.
Chris McIssac hit four doubles.
Jeremy Edwards knocked out three doubles and a single.
Doug Proctor hit a triple, two doubles and a single.Darren McIvor hit a double and three singles.
John Sharpe hit three singles.
Travis LeBlanc hit a double and a single and Darryl Ferguson hit one double.
On the other side of the Diamond it was the Double A's scoring all of their seven runs in the second inning.
Doing the work for the Double A's was Matt Fowler with a Triple and two doubles, Chris Gillis with a triple and a single, Tom Skabar and Ray Bishop each with a double and a single, Matt Clarkson with two singles and Matt McCoag with a single.
Tier 1 action will wrap up Thursday night at the Robb's Complex where it's Springhill taking on the Cumberland Honda Reds.
They are tied at one game apiece in their best-of-five series.
