Give up one goal in four games
The Fundy United Under-14 boy's team gave up one goal in four games to win the title at a soccer tournament on P.E.I. over the weekend.
The Fundy United Under-14 boys defeated Sherwood, P.E.I. 1-0 to win their division at the P.E.I. Police Association Soccer Tournament in Winsloe-West Royalty over the weekend. Members of the team include: (front, from left) Tevin Somers, Maxwell Hoar, (middle, from left) Josh Black, Cole Lefler Cole Pardy, Kegan Chitty, Jurian Ferrigno, (back, from left) assistant coach Mike Keech, Aidan Starratt, Brendan Atwell, Aaron Froes, Joseph Findlay, Andrew Ollerhead, Zackery Gould, Caleb VanVulpen, Kyle Walker, Avery Moore and Jordan Frizzel. AMHERST – Josh Black scored the lone goal on a tip off a free kick at the Fundy United Under 14 boys won their division at the P.E.I. Police Association Soccer Tournament in Winsloe-West Royalty on Sunday.
The club went 3-0 in the round robin before defeating Sherwood, P.E.I. 1-0 in the championship game.
Brendan Atwell was player of the game for Fundy
Fundy opened with a 2-0 win over the North Shore Sharks with Jurian Ferrigno and Joseph Findlay scoring and keeper Maxwell Hoar earning player of the game and recording the shutout.
Kyle Walker scored off a corner kick and Tevin Somers scored as the Fundy defeated Sherwood 2-1 in a preview of the final. Somers was player of the game.
Findlay, Ferrigno and Andrew Ollerhead each scored once as Fundy defeated WCRFC 3-0.
Cole Lefler was player of the game.
