Cubs, Lions beat Y’s Guys, Mixers 11-2

AMHERST – Monday night’s Amherst Little League had two games ending in 11-2.

– Cubs vs. Y’s Guys (Foster Field)

The Cumberland Paving Cubs beat the Y’s Guys 11-2 with Brandon Hicks and Ethan Casey sharing duty on the mound.

They pitched three innings each and combined to strike out 11 batters, while giving up seven hits and one walk.

Broc McEachern hit a double and a single for the Cubs, and Luke Carde hit a double.

Ty Beed and Hicks hit two singles each, and Mika Porter, Reese McLean and Audrey Hoeg hit one single each.

Three pitchers shared duties for the Y’s Guys. Tyler Baker pitched three innings, Jake Adams pitched two innings and Karter Giffin pitched one inning.

They struck out 10 batters and gave up 10 hits and 15 walks.

Jackson Comeau hit a home run for the Y’s Guys knocking in two runners, and Baker and Zach Boudreau hit two singles each. Colson Brown and Brayden Stevens hit one single each.

– Lions vs. Mixers (Landry Field)

Matthew Hunter and Cole Stevens combined to strike out seven batters for the Lions in their 11-2 win over the Casey Concrete Mixers.

Hunter and Stevens gave up four hits and four walks, and Steven’s hit two triples in the win. Graden Chitty hit three doubles in the game, Jordan MacKenzie hit a triple and two singles, Daniel MacDonald hit two singles and Declan LeBlanc hit one single.

Isaac VanSnick pitched three innings for the Mixers, and Reese Blakeney pitched three as well.

They gave up 12 hits and nine walks, while striking out two batters.

Ethan Herrett hit a triple, Lucas Vance and Cam Vance hit one double each, and VanSnick hit one single.

Little League action continues Wednesday night, weather permitting.
