Did you know that there are 29.8 million slaves in the world today?

Swift Current Christian Tae Kwon Do is working with International Justice Mission (www.ijm.ca) to raise awareness and financial support to help free modern-day slaves.

Tae Kwon Do students have been diligently collecting pledges for the “Breaking Boards, Breaking Chains” break-a-thon over the past few weeks. Participants will be breaking up to three boards each using various martial arts techniques. More than 25 individuals, ages 5-53, will be partaking in the event.

The “Breaking Boards, Breaking Chains” break-a-thon will be held at 2149 Walker Street on Saturday, April 12, at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served and the general public is welcome.
