Sangster named to midget league second all-star team

AMHERST – Lucas Sangster of Brookdale was recently named to the Nova Scotia Major Midget League’s second all-star team.

Sangster, who was drafted by the Amherst Ramblers in last June’s MHL draft, had no goals and 23 assists in 32 games with the Weeks Major Midgets this season.

He also had 85 penalty minutes and saw limited action with the Ramblers this season as well.

The Weeks Major Midgets are hosting the Atlantic championships in New Glasgow starting April 3 at the Wellness Centre.

Springhill’s Doug Barton is a forward with the Weeks club.
