J&K will play either Doors or Elmtree in league championship

AMHERST – J&K Electric are heading to the Amherst Adult Hockey League finals after knocking Bluewave Energy out of playoff contention Tuesday night at Amherst Stadium.
Adam MacDonald had three goals and two assists in a to lead J&K to an 8-4 win in the best-of-three series, which J&K won 2-0.
Former Amherst Ramblers captain, Justin Matthews, scored two goals and two assists in the win, Aaron Dobson scored one goal and two assists, and Mark Black and Mike Black added one goal each. Shane O’Byrne added an assist.
Matt Cormier, who led the AAHL scoring race all season long, scored one goal and two assists for Bluewave in the loss, Tim Ackles added one goal and one assist, and Patrick Crabbe and Scott Dicks added one goal each.
Scott Clarke faced 35 shots in goal for the Electric, and Gilles Hache faced 20 shots in goal for Bluewave.
J&K teammates, Matthews and MacDonald, lead the playoff scoring race with seven points each. Matthews has four goals and three assists, and MacDonald has three goals and four assists. Cormier finished his two-game playoff run in third place with three goals and two assists.
On the other side of the playoff bracket, Colson Overhead Doors leads the Elmtree Tavern 1-0 in their best-of-three series. Colson won Game 1 by a score of 4-3.
