Rhinos can make junior C final with Wednesday win in Amherst

TRURO - The Fundy MU Rhino Renovations Rhinos are one win away from going to the Nova Scotia Junior C Hockey League final.

The Rhinos can reserve their spot to battle for a league title Wednesday when they travel to Amherst to take on the Colts at 7:45 p.m. in Game 5 of their best-of-seven semifinal.

The Rhinos hold a 3-1 series lead after manhandling the Colts 9-2 Sunday at RECC. Fundy also claimed an 8-1 victory on home ice on Friday.

On Sunday, Dalton Turner, Adam Hendrie and Perry McDonald each scored twice for Fundy while Matt Calder, Brennen Hartling and Devin Vanderkooi notched single tallies. Calder and Ben Lynds each chipped in three assists and Turner recorded two. Eric Durand made 20 saves for the win.
