AMHERST – Amherst Adult Hockey League action continued with a close contest between Bluewave Energy and Colson Overhead Doors, and with J&K Electric beating the Elmtree Pub & Grill 8-5.
Matt Colson, Luke Crocker, Jarrod Fraser and Mike Gould scored one goal each in Colson’s 4-3 win over Bluewave, with Brad Blenkhorn adding two assists, and Mark Bennett and Colson adding one assist each.
Matt Cormier scored two goals for Bluewave.
Steve Brown faced 21 shots in goal for the Doors, and Bluewave goalie Gilles Hache faced 29 shots.
With three goals, Simon Gaudet led J&K to an 8-5 win over the Elmtree.
Brendon Grimes added two goals and one assist for the Electric, Adam MacDonald and Justin Matthews added one goal and two assists each, and Shane O’Byrne had one goal and one assist.
Aaron Dobson had four assists for the Electric and Dave McLeod added two assists.
Nick Dobson scored one goal and two assists for the Elmtree, Seth Crowe had one goal and one assist and John McNally added one goal.
Robert Evans had two assists, and Mike Archibald and Chris Dwyer had one assist each.
Scott Clarke got the win in goal for J&K. he faced 29 shots. Elmtree goaltender Stephen Pugsley faced 42 shots.
Colson leads the AAHL standings with 29 points, followed by Bluewave with 25 points, J&K with 23 points, and the Elmtree with 13 points.
Matt Cormier continues to lead the individual statistics with 27 goals and 34 assists.
