JV’s lost to Royals on Tuesday

Rachel Chevarie and the rest of the ARHS JV Vikettes take to the court today at 3 p.m. for the first game of a two-day tourney at ARHS.

AMHERST - The Amherst Regional High School JV Vikettes ran out of steam in the second half as the Riverview High JV Royals got past the Bordertown crew 56-43 in exhibition basketball at ARHS on Tuesday.

The Vikettes, ahead 25-17 at halftime, got 17 points from Brooke Wilson while Andrea Wilson hooped eight and Miah Tooley and Risha McKenney both shot seven. Steph MacDonald and Emma Taylor both added baskets.

Amherst preps for its own annual six-team JV Hoop Classic this weekend.

Joining ARHS will be Citadel High Phoenix, C.P. Allen Cheetahs of Bedford, Bernice MacNaughton Highlanders of Moncton, Cobequid Educational Center Cougars of Truro, and Memorial High Magic of Sydney Mines.

4:45 p.m. - Citadel vs. CEC

6:30 p.m. - ARHS vs. CPA

8:15 p.m. - CEC vs. Bernice MacNaughton


9 a.m. - Memorial vs. CPA

10:45 a.m. - Citadel vs. Bernice MacNaughton

1 p.m. - 3rd Green Division vs. 3rd Gold

2:45 p.m. - 2nd Green vs. 2nd Gold

4:30 p.m. - 1st Green vs. 1st Gold

Green Division - ARHS, Memorial, CPA

Gold Division - CEC, Citadel, BMH.
