For the thrid week in a row, the Pictou County Week Crushers and Dieppe Commandos have maintained spots in the CJHL Top 20 Rankings.

The Crushers went 1-1-0-1 in three games over the course of the week, but still held steady in the rankings at No. 10. On Thursday night they played host to the Comandos and despite erasing a 3-1 defecit in the third period, eventually fell to Dieppe, 4-3 in a shootout.

Jason Malone's crew would rebound the following night in Woodstock, riding multi-point performances from six different players in a 7-4 victory over the Slammers. The weekend would end on a sour note however, as the Crushers, playing their third game in three nights, dropped a 5-4 decision to the Ramblers in Amherst.

Despite that setback, Pictou County remains in sole possession of the league's best record at 17-4-0-4, good for 38 points and a two point lead over Dieppe for first overall as well as a four point lead over the Truro Bearcats for first in the Eastlink Division. The Crushers are in action only once this week as they play host to Amherst this Thursday at 7 p.m.

The Commandos went beyond 60 minutes in both of their outings this week, finishing up 1-0-1-0 on the week and dropping from 18th to 19th in the weekly rankings.

On Thursday night, they built a 3-1 lead over the Crushers in New Glasgow and rode a stellar performance in goal from Connor Wilkinson to defeat Pictou County 4-3 in the shootout. On Sunday afternoon, Dieppe would experience a reversal of fortune at home against the Campbellton Tigers. A powerplay goal from the road team at 3:41 of the extra session gave the Tigers a much needed victory and handed the Commandos their first loss at home since September 28th.

Despite the loss, Jeff Leblanc's troops remain in first place in the Meek Division with a record of 17-5-2-0 and 36 points, six points ahead of the Miramichi Timberwolves. The Commandos will face off at home against those same Timberwolves on Saturday night at 7:30PM in their lone game this week.
