Ryan Horseman (above) will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the NSJCHL on Sunday when the Colts host Avon. Horseman is sixth in the league standings with five goals and three assists in three games.
AMHERST - The Amherst Colts have one game on tap this weekend when they return to Amherst Stadium where they will host the Avon River Rats Sunday at 4 p.m.
The Colts are 2-1 on the season. They lost their first game of the 2013-2014 Nova Scotia Junior C Hockey League season to the Spryfield Silver and Black Attack, but have won their last two games, a 3-2 win over the Fundy Rhino's and a 8-2 win over the South Shore Wild last weekend in Liverpool.
They are currently in third place in the league standings with four points. Spryfield and the Barrington Sea Star Ice Dogs both have six points with a record of 3-0.
Colts goaltender Matt Caron has played in the two Colts wins and is ranked third in the league with a goals-against average of 2.00.
Spryfield and Barrington have the five top point leaders in the league and 18 of he top 25-point leaders, but the Colt's Ryan Horseman is sixth on the list with five goals and three assists in three games.
Brett Gallant is also in the top 25 with one goal and three assists in three games.
Conrad Leger has two goals in three games for the Colts, while Andrew Barron has two goals in one game.
