AMHERST – There will be a Game 5.

The Lions extended the Amherst Little League season after tying their best-of-five series 2-2.

The Lions tied the series by winning Game 4 by a score of 6-4.

Mats Stone pitched the win for the Lions, striking out nine batters, and giving up seven hits and six walks.

Graden Chitty hit a double and two singles for the Lions, Stone added a double and a single, while Cameron Smith hit a double, and Michael Farrell hit a single.

J.D. Pettigrew pitched for the Y’s Guys.

He struck out seven batters, and gave up seven hits and three walks.

Pettigrew and Nate Stone hit two singles each for the Y’s Guys, and Jake Adams, Aaron Sjanic and Jackson Comeau hit one single each.
