Bantam AA final goes at 2 p.m. at Robb Centennial Complex

Amherst Pioneer Fuels Red Sox third baseman Dylan Baker tags an Enfield Wildcats' baserunner in action at the Carters Sports Cresting Bantam AA Baseball Tournament. The two teams meet in the final at 2 p.m.

AMHERST – The Amherst Pioneer Fuels Red Sox will face the Enfield Wildcats in the championship game of the Carters Sports Cresting Bantam AA Baseball Tournament at the Robb Centennial Complex.

Game time is 2 p.m. at Robbs 1.

The Fredericton Royals will face the Nova Scotia Bantam Girls in the bronze medal game, also at 2 p.m. on Robbs 2.

The matchups were set with Enfield's 7-5 win over the Red Sox earlier Sunday while the Bantam Girls defeated Fredericton in Sunday morning's other game.

Enfield and Amherst both went 3-1 in the round robin portion of the tournament that started Friday.

The two teams met in the final last weekend in Summerside, P.E.I. with Amherst coming out on top. Two weeks ago in Enfield, the Wildcats defeated Amherst 2-1 in the semifinal game, despite Red Sox pitcher Mike O'Brien's no-hitter.
