HALIFAX - Jonathan Drouin signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday.

The Halifax Mooseheads forward and QMJHL most valuable player was drafted third overall by the Lightning in last Sunday’s NHL entry draft.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed but the maximum salary, including signing bonuses, allowed under the NHL collective bargaining agreement is $925,000 per season. According to capgeek.com, he can also get performance bonuses totaling $2.3 million.
Drouin, who recorded 41 goals and 105 points in just 49 games last season, was in Tampa Bay on Saturday skating at the team’s annual development camp.
