AMHERST – The Amherst Selects won both their games against the Moncton Cubs during little league exhibition action Sunday in Amherst.
Nate Stone pitched the first game, and his brother Mats pitched the second game.
Cal Hoeg led the Selects offence in the first game, a 13-1 win, with a double and a single, while Nate Stone added two singles and Michael Farrell added one single.
The Selects won the second game 4-2.
Nate Stone hit two singles for the Selects in the win, and Jillian Gallant hit a single.
A play in the sixth inning of the closing game had the crowd cheering.

The double header was a tune up for the Selects annual trip to Waltham, Massachusetts. The Selects travel to Waltham.
Because of the trip, little league action continues Tuesday instead of Wednesday.
