Brett Shute scores two goals, including game winner

AMHERST – The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers have tied their best-of-seven Maritime Hockey League Division final series 2-2 after beating the Truro Bearcats 4-3 Tuesday night at Amherst Stadium.
Kody Orr put the Ramblers up 1-0 at just over three minutes into the game off passes from Mitchell O’Neill and Ryan Caswell.
Truro scored two goals in the first and the period ended with the Bearcats up 2-1.
Brett Shute tied the game 2-2 on a power play at 1:25 into the second period, and the Bearcats went ahead at 3-2 at the 13:30 mark, and that’s how the period ended.
It was all Ramblers in the third period.
Willie MacDonald tied the game 3-3 off a pass from Orr at 10:33 into the third, and then a little over a minute later Shute scored his second goal of the night with assists from Maxime Richard and Ben Berisha.
Shots on goal was even at 32 each.
Attendance at the game was 1,252.
The Ramblers travel to Truro Wednesday night for Game 5.
