Bantam Ramblers win house league tourney championship

The Bantam Bluewave Energy Cumberland County Ramblers celebrate winning the Bantam division after a 3-2 win over the Sussex Royal Rangers. SPRINGHILL – The Bantam Bluewave Energy Cumberland County Ramblers are the 2013 Ross Anderson Pharmasave House League Tournament Champions.

Ryley Porter led the Ramblers with a hat trick in close-fought 3-2 win over the Sussex Royal Rangers Sunday afternoon at the Richard Calder Arena in Springhill.

Porter scored one goal in each of the three periods.

Brandon McCallum assisted on Porter’s first period goal, his second period goal was unassisted, and McCallum and Caleb Johnson assisted on his third period goal.

Jeffrey Brine played in goal for the Ramblers, making crucial third period saves when they were needed.

Chris Preston and Quinn French scored for the Rangers, who scored both their goals in the second period.
