Special Olympians win bronze at Winter Games

The Amherst Coyotes floor hockey team recently returned from winning bronze at the provincial Winter Games. Special Olympics Amherst Coyotes Floor Hockey , YARMOUTH

YARMOUTH – The Special Olympics Amherst Coyotes floor hockey team returned from the Provincial Winter Games held over the weekend in Yarmouth.

The team had a great weekend finishing the tournament with a record of 2-2-1.

The athletes fought hard and returned with a bronze medal in their division.

Leading goal scorers in the tournament were captain Terry Black, assistant captain Jason Rhindress and defenceman Brandon Ott.

Ott scored a number of goals including the first goal of his career with the Coyotes.

In addition, defenceman Brad Coady and forwards Mary Ann Belliveau and Elsie Pettigrew also had strong showings and were instrumental in the Coyotes success.
