AMHERST – With the goal of seeing who could be the first to toss the other to the red edge of the mat, four-year-old Piper Sparling twisted to her left to get out from under four-year-old Nolan Gunn.

The judo training exercise was all part of the fun last night at the Amherst Kodokan Judo Academy.
