AMHERST – The Amherst Colts are hosting the Spyfield Silver and Black Attack Sunday at Amherst Stadium at 4 p.m.

With the Nova Scotia Junior C Hockey League's regular season winding down, the Colts are jostling for playoff position to play either the Attack or Shannon Huskies in the first round of the playoffs.

"We’ve had success against both these clubs and we feel we have a good chance getting to the second round of the playoffs with either of these teams,” said Colts head coach Paul Atkinson. "We will have to play hard in our end and finish at the other."

Colts general manager Grove Sutton said, “With our guns firing and our tenders on we will be alright.”

Sunday’s game is one of the last three regular season games for the Colts.

They travel to South Shore after their fundraising breakfast, which is Feb. 2, at 9 a.m. at the Elm Tree Pub in Amherst.

After playing the Wild on the South Shore on Feb. 2, they finish the regular season when they host the Chester Clippers Feb 4, at Amherst Stadium.

Sutton said the Feb. 4 matchup will “be a playoff Booster game where our Booster Fans will receive a free ticket and chances to win some small prizes throughout the game.”

Anybody who has not purchased a Playoff Booster Block can get more information from Colts executive or players. The cost of the blocks are $10.
