Harquail, Conrad each scored twice in 8-2 win
The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers defeated the Metro Shipbuilders 8-2 in MHL action on Tuesday in Halifax.
HALIFAX – Ben Berisha had a goal and two assists to pace the Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers to an 8-2 win over the Metro Shipbuilders in Maritime Junior Hockey League action on Tuesday at the Halifax Centennial Arena.
Amherst scored four third period goals to blow open a 4-1 lead in the game.
Danny Harquail and Jacob Conrad each added two goals for the Ramblers, who return to action at home Saturday against the Yarmouth Mariners, while Kody Orr, Kyle Beckwith and Maxime Richard each added single goals.
Brock Morrison had three goals for Amherst while Jamie Bishop, Jeff MacPherson, Josh Pugsley, Patrick Harrison, Willie MacDonald, Serge Boisvert, Brett Shute, Richard and Orr also added assists.
Justin Thomas and Mitchell Jones replied for Metro.
Chase Marchand earned the win in goal stopping 28 of 30 shots. Jeff Arkin took the loss for Metro, facing 46 shots.
The win allowed the Ramblers to stay within a point of the second-place Truro Bearcats and four points back of Yarmouth.
