Host UPEI on Saturday, at St. Thomas on Sunday

Mount Allison Hockey Mountie Lauren Oickle returns to the lineup this weekend when the club faces UPEI and St. Thomas.

SACKVILLE, N.B. – The Women Hockey Mounties start the second half of their season this weekend when they host the AUS defending champion UPEI Panthers on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Tantramar Civic Centre.

The Mounties will travel to Fredericton on Sunday to play Saint Thomas Tommies with that game also starting at 2 p.m.

The Mounties played well in November and are hoping that their improved play will continue throughout the balance of the season. The Mounties' lineup will be bolstered by the return of team captain and two-time AUS all-star Lauren Oickle. Oickle suffered a dislocated shoulder in late October and missed the full month of November.

Third-year centre Courtney King leads the team in scoring while the blueline brigade and the goaltending combination of Meghan Corley-Byrne and Jenelle Hulan were all outstanding in November.

Organizations: Tantramar Civic Centre
