RIVERVIEW, N.B. – The Cumberland County Amherst Insurance Ramblers got two goals from three players in route to a 7-1 win over Lewisville, N.B. in Bantam AA action at the Riverview Minor Hockey Christmas Tournament on Saturday.
Brody Deegan, Chad Miller and Colton Hiltz each scored twice, while Joel McCrossin scored one goal.
Bailey Embree had three assists and Brenden MacCallum had two assists. McCrossin, Chandler MacKinnon, William Gogan and Zach Parris each had one assist.
Youri Bellevance scored for Lewisville, who trailed 1-0 after one period and 4-1 after two.
The Ramblers finished the tournament with a 2-1 record and were awarded the silver medal behind Riverview, which went 2-0-1. The semifinals and final were cancelled on Sunday.
On Friday, Embree scored twice as the Ramblers nipped the Kent South Flames 2-1.
Hiltz had two assists and MacCallum had a single assist.
Jeremie Babineau scored once for Kent South.
Earlier Friday, the Ramblers gave up three first period goals to lose 3-1 to host Riverview.
Cole Waugh scored twice and Jared Beaumont scored once.
Deegan scored the lone goal for Cumberland County.
