SPRINGHILL – The Cumberland County Community Credit Union Ramblers scored three times in the first period en route to a 6-0 victory over visiting Parrsboro Predators in Nova Scotia North Conference Midget Female Hockey League action at the Richard Calder Arena here Saturday afternoon.

The Ramblers were led by Courtney Barton with a pair of markers, while Elyse Ferguson added a goal and an assist. Adele Mansour, Cassie Skidmore and Sydney Skinner each added singletons, with Alex Hicks adding a pair of assists.

Jennie Underwood picked up the shutout win in goal for the Credit Union crew, while Marissa Redmond suffered the defeat in the Predators’ net.

Cumberland will hit the road on Friday for a pair of exhibition games in Lantz against the East Hants Penguins before opening 2013 in Shediac, N.B., where they will participate in the annual DQ Tournament.
