SACKVILLE – The Mount Allison Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 19 are hockey player Courtney King and basketball player Ben Chisholm.

COURTNEY KING

Mount Allison's third-year Mountie, Courtney King, led her hockey team to its first big wins of the year during a trio of games this past weekends.

King played in the 2-1 victory over Dal Tigers, the 2-0 win against UPEI Panthers, and in the 3-2 overtime shootout loss to the Panthers.

King had a goal and two assists, helping the Mounties to clinch five of a possible six points in weekend play.

The wins were key for the Mounties as they work to return to the AUS hockey finals.

A multi-sport athlete from St. John's, NL, and a past Ridley College athlete of the Year in St. Catharines, ON, King is in her third year of Science and majors in biology at Mount Allison.

 BEN CHISHOLM

Fourth-year, 6'5" basketball forward Ben Chisholm scored two double-doubles over the past weekend.

He lead his Basketball Mounties to a huge 80-55 victory over the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics on Saturday, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

On Sunday in Halifax, he pulled in 13 rebounds and hooped 22 points in a 72-61 win over the University of Kings College.

A resident of Fall River, and a past Lockview High School all-star, Chisholm is in his fourth year of Commerce and was the Mounties' MVP last year. He is currently in sixth place in ACAA scoring with a 16 points-per-game average.
