SHERBROOKE – The Cumberland County Amherst Insurance Ramblers lost 5-0 to Trois Rivieres in quarterfinal action at the Sherbrooke International Bantam Tournament on Saturday night.
Trois Rivieres scored two goals less than a minute apart late in the first period and led 3-0 after two.
Cumberland finished the tournament with a 2-2 record, picking up wins over Boisbrand and Mauricie Est and losing to LaChute before dropping the quarterfinal game.
The tournament featured competition in the levels with teams from Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, the United States and Moscow.
Brody Deegan had three goals in four games and Colton Hiltz and Joel McCrossin each had two. Brandon Greeno had one goal.
The Ramblers return to action next weekend at the Carters Sports Cresting tournament.
