AMHERST – The Casey Concrete Mixers doubled the Lions 14-7, and the Cumberland Paving Cubs trounced the Y’s Guys 28-8 during Amherst Little League action last night in Amherst.

Josh Sperry was the winning pitcher for the Mixers. He struck out 12 Lions batters on the Foster field, while giving up eight hits and one walk.

Sperry hit two doubles and two singles for the Mixers, and Alex Lamb hit a triple and two singles. Jackson Colborne hit a double and single, while Jillian Gallant hit three singles and Josh Arsenault and Reese Blakeney hit one single each.

Cameron Smith pitched for the Lions. He struck out nine batters and gave up 11 hits and seven walks.

Cole Stevens and Mike Farrell each hit a double and a single for the Lions, Smith hit a double, and Mats Stone and Aiden Devine both hit a single.

On the Landry Field it was Josh Nichol and Dustin Pipes sharing duties on the mound for the Cubs.

They combined to strike out 11 batters, while giving up five hits and 12 walks.

Baiden Landry hit a triple and three singles for the Cubs, and Spencer Moreau hit two double and three singles.

Cal Hoeg hit a triple and a single for the Cubs, and Dustin Pipes hit a double and three singles, while Brandon Hicks hit a double. Also hitting for the Cubs was Jake LeBlanc with three singles and Elliot McNutt with on single.

MacKenzie Comeau pitched the first three innings for the Y’s Guys and Zack Boudreau and Jackson Comeau shared pitching duties in the last three innings.

They combined for strike out six batters, while giving up 20 hits and 13 walks.

Zac Boudreau hit a double for the Y’s Guys, while Anthony Hazel hit two singles and MacKenzie Comeau and Aaron Sjanic hit one single each.
