Cubs, Lions win at Monday night little league

Baiden Landry hits a single for the Cubs Monday night.

AMHERST – The Cumberland Paving Cubs and Lions won during Monday night Amherst Little League.


The Cubs beat the Y’s Guys 23-0, and the Lions beat the Casey Concrete Mixers 10-4.

Zach Cormier pitched the entire game for the Cubs on the Landry Field, striking out 16 batters, while giving up one hit and five walks.

Baiden Landry scored five RBI’s on three singles, and Cal Hoeg had three RBI’s on two singles and one double.

Dustin Pipes had one RBI of on single, while Spencer Moreau hit a single and a double and Zack Gould and Sam LeBlanc each hit one single.

Four pitchers pitched for the Y’s Guys – Tyler Baker, Aaron Sjanic, MacKenzie Comeau and Zack Boudreau.

They combined to strike out 10 batters, while giving up 11 hits and 18 walks.

Michael Farrell was the winning pitcher on the mound on the Foster Field in the Lions 10-4 win over the Mixers.

Farrell struck out nine batters, and gave up six hits and two walks.

Matt Stone hit a single and a double for the Lions, while Brayden Nichols, Cole Stevens and Matt Hunter hit one single each.

Josh Sperry pitched for the Mixers, striking out 13 batters, and giving up five hits and walking 10 batters.

Sperry hit a home run and a double for the Mixers, while Jackson Colborne hit a double and Jill Gallant hit two singles and Josh Arsenault hit one single.
