AMHERST – Another season of athletic competition is drawing to a close for students at the Aerials Gymnastics Club as they head to Sydney on Friday to take part in the provincial championships.

“I think they’re doing good,” said Aerials coach Michelle Landry. “I was watching them in warm-up and a lot of them have come a long way this year.”

The club has three girls competing at the two highest levels – Open 2 and Open 3.

“In past year’s there have been less girls in their categories but this year there’s 15 girls competing in Open 3 and 13 girls competing in Open 2,” said Landry. “It won’t be an easy meet to place at, so I think they’re really going to have to work at it...”
