AMHERST – The Amherst Regional High School Junior Varsity Vikettes basketball team returned home Saturday as the 2012 Hants East Sweetheart Invitational Champions after winning all three games they played, including the championship game. All teams they played were senior girls teams.

The JV Vikettes beat West Kings 53-38 in the Championship game.

Lauren Chitty led the charge with 13 points, followed by Alexa Thompson with 10, Mia Furlong and Miah Tooley with six each, Andrea Comeau with four, and Jessica Wilson, Maegan Morrison and Gina Grattan with two each.

Lauren Chitty was named player of the game.
