Young Viking team has won five games so far this season

AMHERST – The Amherst Regional High School Vikings have participated in several tournaments so far this season, accumulating a record of 5-9. The team has six Grade-10 players, three Grade-11 players, and three Grade-12 players. They will be hosting a tournament at ARHS Dec. 29-30.

The scores from their 14 games in 2011 is as follows:

Pugwash Tourney

Nov. 11 – 68-46 loss to SAERC

Nov. 12 – 56-52 win over Parkview JV

Nov. 12 – 74-44 loss to Pugwash

Amherst Tourney

Nov. 18 – 66-49 loss to Charlottetown Rural

Nov. 19 – 62-49 loss to BEC

Nov. 19 – 58-46 win over Pugwash

Bluefield Tourney

Nov. 24 – 63-37 loss to Charlottetown Rural

Nov.  25 – Overtime loss to Colonel Grey

Nov. 26 – 68-38 win over Bluefield.

ARHS

Dec. 7 – 55-43 loss to Northumberland

Trantramar Tourney

Dec. 9 - 52-48 win over Tantramar

Dec. 9 – 75-47 loss to Mathieu Martin

Dec. 10 – 67-33 win over Caledonia

Championship game

Dec. 10 – 75-50 loss to Mathieu Martin
