AMHERST – The Amherst Little League Casey Concrete Mixers have forced a winner-take-all, sudden-death showdown Wednesday at 6 p.m. after defeating the Lions 12-4 during Game-4 of their best-of-five championship series Monday night at the Amherst Little League Complex.
The Mixers came storming out of the gate, scoring seven of their 12 runs in the first inning.
Madison Colford was on the mound for the Mixers, striking out seven batters, while giving up six hits and two walks.
Reuben MacKenzie pitched a little over four innings for the Lions before Bradley Gray came in for relief.
They combined to strike out six batters, while giving up seven hits and 10 walks.
The 2011 Little League season concludes Wednesday night. Game-5 begins at 6 p.m.
