Amherst Little League Complex , Cumberland Paving Cubs

AMHERST – The Casey Concrete Mixers beat the Lions 12-10 in the first game of the Amherst Little League best-of-five championship series last night at the Amherst Little League Complex, while the Cumberland Paving Cubs beat the Y’s Guys 12-4 in the first game of their best-of-three consolation series.

Blake Thompson pitched five-plus innings for the Mixers in the championship series and Morgan Jobes came in for relief.

They combined to strike out 10 batters, while giving up nine hits and eight walks.

Reuben Mackenzie and Brody Deegan pitched the majority of the game for the Lions before Bradley Gray came in for relief.

They struck out nine batters, while giving up seven hits and 19 walks.

Sam Leblanc pitched four innings and Spencer Moreau pitch two innings for the Cubs in their 12-4 win over the Y’s Guys.

They combined to strike out eight batters, while giving up four hits and four walks.

Chance Johnson pitched for the Y’s Guys. He stuck out 12 batters and gave up nine hits and 6 walks.

Amherst Little League continues Monday night at the Amherst Little League Complex.
