RIVER HEBERT-River Hebert District Elementary school held its annual Christmas concert for family, friends, staff and community members Monday night inside a standing room only gymnasium at River Hebert District High. The entertaining program began with the singing of Canada by Chloe Fagan and Hannah Langille, the latter of whom danced to Santa Baby with Jada O'Brien. From there, the P/1 performed The Swan and Father Christmas while grade 2/3 performed We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Up on the Housetop. Grade 3/4 played Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reinideer on their flutes before singing/acting out The Elves' Christmas Surprise. Grade 5/6 performed Jingle Bell Rock and Silent Night was sang by soloist Hannah Langille. The entire school then sang Silent Night (Finale Sing Along). Special thanks to music teacher Andrea Burris for conducting and directing the concert. Thanks also to River Hebert schools principal Mr. Vernon Taylor, Home and School as well as the staff and students of River Hebert schools. Chignecto Family of Schools’ supervisor Karla Mitchell-Smith was in attendance. A free will offering/donation at the door benefited RHDE's school music program.
