David Strang was testing the track and testing his bike in preparation for the 6th annual Josh Damery Memorial Arenacross the day before the actual races on April 19-20. Strang's father Richard built the track from 60 truckloads of dirt brought into the Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre in Springhill. Strang said the track is in very good condition, not too wet and not too dry. The dirt was the same dirt they used last year and was stored near the community centre. Strang went through two clutches on his bike during testing on April 18. He said replacing the clutch costs $300, so he spent $600 for his bike during the day of testing.
