[INGONISH, NS] — The Cape Breton Partnership will host its annual investor summit and annual general meeting Oct. 10 at the Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa.
Business and community leaders are invited to Ingonish to network, discuss and collaborate about local economic issues while providing input on Cape Breton's economic future.
“The partnership wants to ensure that Cape Breton has a strong and prosperous economic future,” said Keith MacDonald, president and chief executive officer of the Cape Breton Partnership. “By bringing together business and community leaders we have a valuable opportunity to gain input on how to further work toward that goal.”
Dianne Buckner, host of CBC’s "Dragons' Den," will deliver the luncheon keynote presentation. Her discussion will centre on the impact that shifting trends in society and consumer behaviour have on businesses.
Other speakers and panellists will provide insight and opinions on taking the initiative to be agents of change for the local economy.
This event will be the eighth of its kind in which the Cape Breton Partnership brings together delegates from close to 200 organizations that serve as its investor base, as well as participating organizations, to discuss a strong economic future for Cape Breton.
Registration for the event is now open. Details are available at www.capebretonpartnership.com or by phone at 562-0122.
