To the Editor,

I am 12-years-old and a Grade 6 student at Northport Elementary School. Last week, at gym class, I had an accident and made a big cut below my knee.
When I got home, my mom said we had to go to the hospital for stitches. I was very scared as I know I would probably get a needle and I never had stitches before.
At the hospital, we waited very long and then we saw the doctor. His name was Dr. (Brian) Ferguson. He was the best doctor ever. He took his time and explained everything to me. I had to look at the needle so I wouldn't move when he was putting it in.
He was talking to me and my mom and dad and I wasn't scared. He joked with me and that made me feel comfortable.
I would like to thank Dr. Ferguson for making this experience an OK experience. I hope that I don't have to have stitches again, but if I do I hope the doctor will take his time and make me feel not scared, like Dr. Ferguson did.
He is a very good doctor.

Dr Ferguson is by far the most amazing DOC around. He is right next to god in my books. Along with is wit and humor, there is expertise and professionalism. Whenever I see him, I can't help but smile. He treats me with respect and dignity, and always follows up regardless of the nature of visit. His staff are amazing, Lisa and Kim....wonderful accomadating people...Nothing but AAA+++
