Upset with changes to SaskEnergy Equalized Payment pool

Having the Equalized Payment Plan for SaskEnergy has been a godsend to those on limited income.

Usually when there was a credit balance in that Equalized Payment pool, it would be credited back to the customer at the end of their anniversary of signing on. This year, however, SaskEnergy has decided to keep everyone's credit balances.

In our case its $50 and with my Mom, its $74.

With conversation with April at the SaskEnergy Call-in Centre, it changed in August 2013 (without notice to customers). No monies will be released unless you leave the province. Wow!  

So, if we continue to live in Saskatchewan and have a credit balance each year - those monies that could be going to something else (like food, water, etc.) are being held back.

It is unbelievable that when we owe them monies in that equalized plan, we are required to pay it in the next bill.

All we ask is that something be done, so those people using this great Equalized Payment Plan can have fair treatment and be given credit for not over using the whole energy structure.
