In using the English language, here is a word of caution.

One has to be careful when using these words: rainbow, gay and pride. There could be other words too.

These words have taken on a different meaning than was first intended. Rainbow was to mean a brilliant coloured bow or arch seen in the sky with sun shining on the backside of a rain shower. Now it is associated with the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered lifestyle.

Gay used to mean merry and happiness. Now it refers to the GLBT lifestyle.

Pride used to man a feeling of being proud and self-esteem. Now it too is associated with the GLBT lifestyle.

So, one has to be careful in using these English words as there are other meansing attached to them.
