Advocate Harbour -

Hi again from Advocate. I hope you've all had a great week. Isn't this weather just the best? On to our third week of beautiful spring weather, none of us can complain about this.
Susan Wakefield and Nigel Field of Halifax recently spent time at their home here.
Anna Brown has returned to her home here after spending the winter in Moncton, N.B. at her sister's. Welcome home, Anna.
Timmy and Nicky Bennett and their children of Prince Edward Island are spending part of their March break here, visiting with family and friends.
Doug and Ina Spicer went to Halifax for a few days to visit their daughter, Darlene Hubley.
Bailee and Jesse MacGillivray-Downs of Lower Sackville are spending part of their March break with their grandparents, Virginia and Dwight MacGillivray.
Alt Fletcher came down for a couple of days to visit with Darrell Davis.
Mark and Georgia Cleveland and their daughter, Katie, of Prince Edward Island spent a few days at their home here and visited with family and friends.
Rachel Collins and her children, Adam, Mikayla and Faith of Parrsboro spent a couple of days visiting with Leighann and Barry Melanson and myself.
The Firemen's Winter Carnival was a great success. The children enjoyed the sock hop on Friday night and the cakewalk that was held on Saturday. Close to $1,000 was raised and the fire department wishes to say thank you to all who helped, donated and participated.
On Saturday, March 20 I will be showing a classic movie, Rear Window, with James Stewart and Grace Kelly upstairs at the log building at 7 p.m. Feel free to bring a snack with you. The cost is $2. This is sponsored by the Cumberland Regional Library.
On Thursday, March 25 I will be doing Easter crafts at the library at 3 p.m. for the children. The cost is free. Please call 392-2214 to register.
The Lucky Duck Draw tickets are here. Donnie Fletcher and I have tickets that are $1 each and first prize is $3,000.
