Preparations being made for maple season

Leicester -

As the saying goes, if March comes in like a lion, it goes out like a lamb. Now we will wait and see.
The men are getting ready for the maple season so we will soon be able to feast on the goodies.
The Little River church held its annual meeting at the home of Ronald and Dot Webb on Saturday afternoon. Vivian Warwick and Elda Lowther attended this meeting.
Wilson and Edith Hunsley, Little River, came and took Elda Lowther and Olive Jackson to the seniors afternoon of games and supper on Wednesday. This was much appreciated.
Marion Thompson, Little River, was a supper guest with her son Darrell and wife Sheila on Sunday.
We had a nice chat with Wallace Hollis, Florida, this week. He said it has been the coldest winter since he moved there 50 years ago.
The snowbirds will soon be returning home.
Dorothy Bowser, Geraldine Smith, and Norma Tower are vacationing in the south this week.
Sympathy is extended to Isabel Moore and family on the death of her brother Bobby last week. Here to attend the funeral were Eugene and Gwenda Mattinson, Fredericton, Ruth Bowman, Lower Sackville, Steve and Betty Mathenson and son Colin from Wolfville.
Mary Lusby, Amherst, was a luncheon guest with the Warwicks on Sunday. In the afternoon, Helen Estabrooks, Brookdale, and Erma Estabrooks, Amherst, came to visit. Rick Estabrooks, who came for supper hour, accompanied them. John and Vivian visited in Truro with his mother Ruth Warwick and brother Dickson on Sunday afternoon. Chad and April Lowther, along with their baby, Emma-Lee, came to visit on Sunday with Elda Lowther as well.
Yasmine Lowther, Sackville, is spending part of the March break with her godparents, John and Vivian Warwick.
