Leicester -

Nice to see the sun this morning, as there has not been much this year so far. The snow makes everything look so nice.
Vivian Warwick, accompanied by Gwyn Lowther, Amherst, attended the 50th anniversary of Karen and Laurie Wood in Springhill on Saturday. By all reports, it was a nice time. They were surprised when their son, who is a Mountie in B.C., arrived to help them celebrate.
Remember Marg Casey, as I understand she is recovering in Camp Hill hospital, Halifax. Also our prayers go out to Alton Adshade, Amherst, as he starts another series of treatments today in Moncton, N.B. We send prayers for Jean Mattinson, Beckwith, who is in the Amherst hospital.
Mary Ellen and Ross Lusby, Amherst, were supper guests on Saturday with John and Vivian Warwick. Mary Ellen is recovering from broken ribs, which she received after falling last month while visiting with the Warwicks.
Nancy and David Haner, Truro, went to church with her parents, Delbert and Lillian Carter on Sunday and stayed for dinner.
Darrell and Sheila Thompson visited with their son Greg and Cathy Thompson, Warren, on Saturday night.
On Sunday, Darrell and Sheila Thompson, accompanied by his mother Marion Thompson, Little River, enjoyed a drive through the Wentworth Valley watching the skiers etc. and had lunch out.
Helen Estabrooks, Brookdale, visited with her mother, Elda Lowther on Sunday while Vivian and John spent the afternoon in Truro with his mother Ruth Warwick.
Calvin Kirkpatrick and Maria returned to work on Tuesday to Fort McMurray, Alta. Wilson and Edith Kirkpatrick visited with Ruby and Douglas Kirkpatrick on Friday.
Sunday night Earl and Holly King along with their family Adam and Dana, Amherst, were supper guest with the Kirkpatricks. Joanne Gaudiest, Dieppe, also visited on Sunday afternoon at the same home.
The Happy Neighbors Club met with Lillian Carter on Tuesday.
Thought for today: It is smart to pick your friend but not to pieces.
