Christmas has been here and I am sure you had lots of company.
This year has a sad ending for the Warwick family, as John's brother Jim passed away before Christmas. John and Vivian Warwick were to Windsor, Ont. for the funeral, arriving home on Dec. 24, so Christmas was celebrated on Dec. 26 here.
Elda Lowther spent Christmas day with Rick and Helen Estabrooks in Brookdale.
A special service was held on Sunday at the Little River Baptist Church, when Doug Letcher and several of his biker friends led the worship service. The Travelers Barbershoppers also sang several numbers and an inspiring message was delivered to all by Mike Morris.
This was a combined Oxford and Little River Service.
Our snow is all gone, along with the snowman that was in the front yard.
Olive Jackson had her family gathering for Christmas dinner with 19 of her family attending.
Jamie Jackson spent the holidays with his parents, Walter and Linda Jackson.
Calvin Kirkpatrick and Marie, Fort McMurray, Alta. will be spending New Year's with his parents, Doug and Ruby Kirkpatrick. Christmas dinner guest with the Kirkpatricks were Arden Kirkpatrick and friend Joanne, Holly and Earl King, Dana and Adam, Amherst.
Douglas and Ruby Kirkpatrick visited with Victor and Heather Hunsley, Little River, the week before Christmas and found him much improved in health.
On Christmas Day, Delbert and Lillian Carter had their son-in-law, David Taylor, Sussex, N.B., for dinner and supper.
Pat, their daughter, was sick and unable to attend. Their granddaughter, Heidi and husband Lee Bird, Halifax, also had supper with them.
On Saturday, Delbert and Lillian Carter's daughter, Nancy and husband David Haner, Truro, their daughter Jennifer and husband Dana Wright, had dinner with them.
Darrell and Sheila Thompson enjoyed a party at the home of Jack and Jocelyn Wheeler, Amherst, on Sunday evening.
Darrel and Sheila Thompson, accompanied by Mario Thompson, Little River, had Christmas dinner with Greg and Cathy Thompson, Warren. They also enjoyed usual lobster and Chinese food on Christmas Eve with the Thompsons.
Elda Lowther visited on Sunday with Mabel and Harold, Oxford, and enjoyed supper with them, along with Vivian and John Warwick, who visited with his mother, Ruth, in Truro in the afternoon.
Gwyn Lowther, Amherst, daughter Donna Niemhamien, Windsor, visited with Elda Lowther on Wednesday afternoon.
Anne Stevens, Fenwick, and Adrienne Chapettelle, Amherst, visited with John and Vivian Warwick on Christmas Day. Also visiting were Ross and Mary Lusby and Kathy of Amherst.
