Casserole supper to be held at hall

Diligent River -

Most folk around the area are doing fall cleanup and preparing for winter, with hopes for a much better winter than the last one.

The Diligent River Hall Community is holding a casserole supper on Saturday, Oct. 31. The menu will include all the old favourites and it is all you can eat. They tell me that there will be lots of yummy desserts as well s tea and coffee. Take-outs will also be available. The time is 4 to 6 p.m. and the price is right at $10 for adults and $5 for children. Come out and enjoy a meal you don't have to prepare yourself, and see our newly refurbished hall kitchen. All proceeds will be used to continue the work in progress including new windows. The workers hope for a good turn-out as this will be the last event till spring.

Don't forget to bring your small pets inside as there are coyotes looking for a free meal. There have been reports of
