VIC not opening this season

It looks like the Tidnish Visitors Information Center will not be opening this season as there has not been a long-term commitment or support from the provincial Government as they are looking for a sustainable alternative for visitor service.

There are still bear sightings in the area, so don't forget to take in feeders and keep garbage in a secure place and, if out walking, make noise so you can be heard.

There are art classes at the Tidnish Hall on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. There is no charge and everyone is welcome. There will be someone there to give you some coaching and tips. For more information, call Diana McIsaac at 667-0035.

If you are out driving this weekend, keep an eye out for yard sales. We have seen some on the Tyndal Road already.

Crib results for June 21 - First: Judy Tuttle and Piercy Haynes, Second: Gloria King and Scott Miller. That was the last crib till the fall. Thanks to those that attended this season.
