TIDNISH Well our January thaw is over and we are back into snow, and another day with no mail.

On the subject of mail, our mail boxes are taking a beating from the snow plows.

When we moved here nine years ago we lost our mailbox at least three times a season, then the driver either retired or they hired new ones, because we went for several years with no problem.

This winter we have lost our mail box again along with dozens of others, so either our old driver came out of retirement or they did not give the proper training to some of the new drivers. With the ground frozen it is hard to repair or replace boxes.

Scott and I visited with my niece, Janice, and her husband, Bernie Kaffer, over the weekend in New Glasgow. They moved to Nova Scotia from Ontario in September as Janice took on the position of vice-president clinical services for Pictou County Health Authority, while Bernie, her husband, retired from 31 years in public service and has many hobbies to keep him busy. It is nice to see people moving to Nova Scotia to work rather than people moving West .

Yoga will be starting again on Monday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Tidnish hall. Those interested can contact Corrine Miller at 667-4438. Everyone is welcome.
