Irish supper a success

Port Greville -

Hello everyone! How are you enjoying our nice spring weather? Enough is enough, right?

On a very sad note, on behalf of the community, I would like to send condolences to the family of the late Larry Dowe. Our hearts and thoughts are with you all.
The Shore Drive Community Development Association - Community Activities Committee - wishes to thank all the many volunteers who assisted with their recent Irish Festival Supper. The event was a great success and, from all accounts, everyone enjoyed themselves. Special thanks to Rick Harvey for preparing the delicious stew and to Jeannie Trider and Bob Jamieson from Parrsboro who provided the much appreciated Irish entertainment. Only question we had regarding the event was "When is the next one?"
A couple from Austin, Texas is coming to Port Greville in early May to do some genealogy research and will be staying at the Ebb Tide Bed and Breakfast. They have requested Gayle and Terry Shaw to assist them in possibly locating descendants of Hilda Agatha Taylor, daughter of Hugh Taylor and Hannah Willigar, as well as Minnie Baker Taylor (Bruce) and Hazel Mary Taylor (Willigar) and Truman Raymond Willigar. If any of our readers feel they can contribute in this search please call Gayle or Terry at 348-2245.
Well, that seems to be it for this week folks. Have a good one.
