Soccer evenings wrap up this week at school

Hi again from Downtown New Salem, I hope you've all had a wonderful week.
Margie Kernohan of Hilden, visited this week with her daughter LauraLee and husband Norman Spicer and their children Christopher and Brittany.
Laurie and Ernie Benjamin and their son Colby spent the weekend at the bar in Apple River and also visited with Charlotte and Danny Morris.
Donnie Fletcher wishes to thank Helen Ross and Jessica Currie for helping him with the Kids Young and Old Soccer.
This week will be the last week for the soccer evenings at the school.
The ADDA wishes to thank everyone for their help in the clean up of the Seafarers Memorial Park.
On Sunday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. the 126th anniversary and dedication service will be held at the Spencer's Island Union Church with guest Speaker Pam Harrison a Lay minister from River Hebert. Following the service fellowship and refreshments will be held at the Advocate Fire Hall.
The Downshore Market is now open for another season at the Log Building on Mills Road starting at 9 a.m. till 12 noon on Saturday mornings. Come and see what the vendors have to offer and have a tea or coffee and meet old and new friends alike.
The Community Bulletin Board is now located at Advocate Country Store on the front wall. Well that's it for this week, have a great week everyone.
