Vandalism rears its ugly head in community
Vandalizing has reared its ugly head over the weekend as a local couple had their camp trashed and those responsible are old enough to know better.
Neal and Blain Varner were once again winners of the Annual Field Day horseshoe tournament in Port Greville. This was especially nice as this was Neals birthday.
Mary Colpitts has donated a chair, which she caned herself, to the Baptist church. The chair can be seen at the local art studio and proceeds from the sale will be for church purposes.
Visitors with us on Sunday were Sterling and Debbie Zwicker and children from Barrs Corner.
A salad-strawberry supper will be taking place Saturday, August 30 at the Diligent River Hall. The menu will include potato salad, homemade rolls, ham, and biscuit shortcake. The meal will start at 4 p.m. and will be served until the food is gone. The cost is $8 and $4 for children.
